Artist Story

Hello, I'm Megan Miller, artist and founder of Belle Reve Designs  

Art has always been a part of my life, but after the loss of my son in 2020, painting became an important source of healing and purpose. Through my Art work, I strive to create pieces that bring beauty, comfort, and connection into the homes of others.

As a Louisiana artist, I draw inspiration from the beauty of the South Louisiana landscape, from winding bayous and marshes to native wildlife, gardens, and heirloom treasures. Working primarily in acrylic, watercolors and oil, I create paintings that celebrate the places, colors, and memories that make our region unique.

My collections often feature herons, Louisiana wildlife, wetlands, florals, and Southern inspired still lifes.  Each painting is created with layers of color and texture to capture both the atmosphere and emotion of a moment.

Belle Reve, meaning "beautiful dream," reflects my desire to create meaningful work that tells a story and brings joy to those who collect it.

In addition to my artwork, for more than 10 years I have worked in home renovations, painting and interior design.  I also create a collection of hand-poured luxury candles and home fragrances inspired by the same love of beauty, home, and Southern.

Every piece of art I create is deeply personal and inspired by the places, memories, and beauty that have shaped my life.
